Great Wall Trek

I so appreciated to spend those days close to the Wall and not just to “fly in” for one day. This enables me to get a bit of a “feel” for the country. To be with the Chinese crew also was a privilege I won’t forget. Our tour guide gave us valuable insights. I am thankful that I could be part of this challenge, it was worth it.

China Bike Ride

On this trip you go as a traveller, only to find that you become the main attraction, as local people are delighted to see that we travel as they do - on bicycles! We commence our adventure in the southern city of Guangzhou as we cycle the backroads out through rural China with stunning green rice fields, mudbrick huts, buffaloes and farmers attending their fields as our daily backdrop. Crossing over to Guangxi Province we cycle to Yao minority villages enroute to the stunning limestones pinacle landscape of Yangshou. Located on the banks of the beautiful Li River, Yangshou's sublime scenery has inspired painters and poets for centuries. Following our cycle ride we travel to Xian to visit one of the most significant discoveries of the 20th century- the Terracotta Warriors- then continue to Beijing to visit the Great Wall, Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City. This trip provides an incomparable panorama of rural, ancient and modern China. No wonder this is one of our most popular trips!
